jammy black cherry and berry fruit. It is impressively powerful and muscular, with moderate tannin, a sweet, unctuous texture

Woodland berry, iris and baking spice. Vibrant, balanced palate doles out Marasca cherry, dark culinary spice, crushed
herb and menthol. Refined tannins and fresh acidity provide the taut framework while a liqorice note wraps around the finish.

Rich body, subtle texture, and fine, ripe tannins; in great vintages this wine will develop for decades. Sour cherries,
violets, petrichor, toast and rich, spiced fruit comprise the customary profile for this gorgeously structured wine.

Intense aromas of fresh mushroom turn to blackberry and plum, even meadow flowers. Full-bodied, big and soft, with loads of fruit and character, coffee beans and truffles that flow from the glass. It offers outstanding persistence and a long caressing finish

Beautiful aromas of violets and blackberry with hints of spice. Some sweet tobacco. Full body, yet refined and polished with ultra-fine tannins and a long, long finish. The texture and intensity are exceptional.

Sharp aromas of blackberry, ripe cherry, grilled herb and barbecue spice. Intense, long finish and powerful crisp linearity, the wine tannic backbone perfectly measured to the volume and depth of the fruit flavours.

Dark chocolate, white-pepper and fresh-rosemary character, dried ripe fruits such as currants and blueberries. Real mouthful yet remains agile and powerful. Linear and long finish.

Rich, deep dark ruby purple. Opens with notes of mint and walnuts, then lush blackcurrant, dark cherry and
subtle chocolate tones in the background. Shows plenty of ripe, well-defined fruit on the attack as well as supple, dense tannins that fill the palate powerfully. Very balanced and rounded.

Raspberry, cherry and currant, followed by spicy notes of juniper, liquorice and a vegetal trace reminiscent of moss and fern. Complex texture, evident in a composed tannin and a full, enveloping body. It is a fresh, well-balanced wine.

Mature Marasca cherry, prune, licorice and tobacco alongside youthfully assertive, fine-grained tannins. Wild berry, new leather, exotic spice and eucalyptus. Full bodied and enveloping. remarkable finesse and power.

Tertiary, complex, fine nose. Floral notes of dried wildflowers, coffee, bark, undergrowth and tobacco, spices, licorice, a slight hint of powder and enamel. Mouth characterized by a lively acidity, delicate and very fine tannins. Very persistent and full of character. Long and elegant finish with hints of rosemary and ripe cherry.

The Chateau Latour 2003 has to be one of the best wines of the vintage. There is a sense of grandeur on the nose, one of those rare Latour vintages that is so sensual and extraordinarily pure. There are subtle graphite notes, cedar and brambly black fruit that are supremely well defined.

Very dark red violet colour, rich, appealing, cassis, currant nose with herbal lift; tight, tart cassis, currant, cedar palate with depth, needs 7-plus years; medium-plus finish.

As antique lace, so fragile and refined. Absolutely wonderful, fanning out in the mouth. Beautifully complex and delineated. Long lingering on. Notes of earth, dried prunes, horse-stable and leather, dried raisins. Light in color, bit cloudy.

Fragrance of potpourri, star anise, sautéed herbs, rusty nails and cigar box, over a core of blackcurrant preserves and prunes, plus a waft of crushed rocks. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and satiny, offering exhilarating layers of exotic spice and incense-spiked black fruit preserves, finishing with amazing length and depth.
